Dragon starring Ranbir, Alia postponed!

It’s been three years since Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani came out and ruled the box office with its masala entertainment. Since then there were reports of the director going to UCLA to study certain aspects of filmmaking for his next superhero project starring ranbir Kapoor, the wait was over and the movie is titled‘Dragon’.

The film was earlier expected to go on floors by February 2016. Then, Ranbir was to start shooting for it from January this year, but as the film got postponed, he gave his dates away to the Sanjay Dutt biopic. The trio will kick off the film now in Mumbai in May 2017. Another reason being,  it has been delayed owing to some VFX and budget issues.

According to a source close to the development, the entire film will be shot in India since it tells the story of a desi superhero. ‘There will be no schedules abroad, and the first schedule will extend from May to June. Ranbir’s hands emit fire, that’s his super power. It is still not known if Alia’s character will be a super girl too. The buzz is untrue,’ the source informs.

Interestingly, this is not the first time RK’s movie has suffered delaying issue.

Earlier, his ‘Jagga Jasoos’ too got much delayed. The movie which was supposed to release in early 2016, will not hit the screens on April 7.

Dragon is an upcoming Indian Hindi Superhero film, written and directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar, starriing Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
